This is a great opportunity to join the aspirational teaching team of St Oswald's RC Primary & Nursery School and work with our enthusiastic children in our mixed Reception / Year 1 class. (20 Reception / 10 Year 1 children).

The Governors are looking for someone:

who is a proven outstanding EYFS/KS1 teacher with a passion for teaching Early Years pupils

who can effectively lead a team of committed and experienced Teaching Assistants

who can lead on EYFS across their own class and the Nursery

to advise SLT on EYFS matters

We are looking for someone who has clear expectations of behaviour, whilst maintaining a caring, nurturing approach.

This practitioner is also:

committed to and able to support the school's distinctive Catholic ethos

able to plan creatively and accurately assess pupils to ensure they know their next steps

able to address the needs of all pupils, including more able and SEN pupils, ensuring progress for all

able to work closely and share information with colleagues

able to develop excellent relationships with parents, children and staff

Essential Qualifications
Good level of English and Maths at GCSE or beyond (or equivalent)
Good Degree with QTS

Essential Experience
Substantial experience of EYFS & KS1 (Reception/Year 1)
Recent teaching experience in Primary School
Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
Knowledge of the new EYFS framework
This role is not suitable for an NQT
