Moor Hey is a small Special School supporting the development of Primary and Secondary pupils who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Their difficulties are wide and varied and continue to be more complete and complicated year on year.

The school is very well placed to continue to make a significant difference to the lives of children and young people and places a strong focus on working effectively supporting the local community.

Required : asap or 1st September 2021.

The Governing Body are keen to appoint an outstanding early years classroom practitioner who is able to teach the full primary curriculum to a mixed-age and ability primary class. They will need to have significant experience of working with groups of pupils with a wide range of SEN, in order to meet the very diverse needs of our pupils.

The successful candidate will also have duties associated with form tutor requirements and be expected to take on a subject leader role.

Candidates will need to have enthusiasm and stamina in order to meet the needs of our young people on a daily basis.

  • QTS Status BA (Hons) or BEd (Hons) degree

  • Essential Experience
  • Experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Outstanding classroom practitioner with evidence of setting appropriate expectations to advance learning by engaging and motivating pupils.
  • Desirable Experience
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment (special school/short stay school).
