Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Out of School Club Assistant to support the Club Manager in providing high-quality care and activities for children in the afterschool club. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and caring environment, promoting physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of the children, and assisting the Club Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the club.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Club Manager in planning and implementing play activities and outings for children 
  • Provide a high standard of care and support for children, including those with special needs 
  • Manage and supervise children during club activities, ensuring their safety and well-being 
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of snacks and meals 
  • Help with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and communication with parents 
  • Support the Club Manager in maintaining a clean and safe environment 
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of special events and activities

    This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
  • Desirable Qualifications
  • Child Care Qualification if not you will need to undertake one if successfully appointed.
  • Pediatric First Aid  if not you will need to undertake this training
  • Essential Experience
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply) 
  • Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience working with children in a similar setting 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Basic first aid and child protection training (or willingness to complete)
