Are you an experienced and passionate Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? Kingsbury Primary Special School is seeking a dedicated HLTA to provide high-quality cover across the school and to support the training and development of Teaching Assistants.

    The Role:

  • As a HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality learning activities to classes in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Working closely with teachers to plan and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of our children.
  • Supporting and mentoring Teaching Assistants to enhance their skills and confidence in working with children with SEND.
  • Leading training sessions and workshops for TAs to develop their professional practice.
  • Providing targeted interventions for individuals and small groups to support their learning and development.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider school team to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

    What We Are Looking For:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who:

  • Holds a HLTA qualification or is educated to the equivalent level.
  • Has experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Can confidently lead whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Has excellent communication and leadership skills to support and train other staff.
  • Is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Can adapt to different situations and demonstrate flexibility when covering classes across the school.
