Are you an experienced and passionate Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? Kingsbury Primary Special School is seeking a dedicated HLTA to provide high-quality cover across the school and to support the training and development of Teaching Assistants.

The Role:

As a HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality learning activities to classes in the absence of the class teacher.

Working closely with teachers to plan and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of our children.

Supporting and mentoring Teaching Assistants to enhance their skills and confidence in working with children with SEND.

Leading training sessions and workshops for TAs to develop their professional practice.

Providing targeted interventions for individuals and small groups to support their learning and development.

Working collaboratively with the wider school team to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who:

Holds a HLTA qualification or is educated to the equivalent level.

Has experience working with children with special educational needs.

Can confidently lead whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher.

Has excellent communication and leadership skills to support and train other staff.

Is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Can adapt to different situations and demonstrate flexibility when covering classes across the school.
