Summary
The Governors of St. Mary's Catholic Primary School are excited to be able to offer two teaching assistant posts and are looking forward to welcoming new members to our school family. We are looking for team players who are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, hard working and, most importantly, passionate about making a difference to children's lives. 

'As a Catholic school community, we strive to live as a Christian family, showing our love for God in the way we treat each other with dignity and respect, and by promoting the development of each child as a unique individual.'  We pride ourselves on being a school where every child is valued and nurtured.  We have a very effective pastoral team, which includes our school dog, Dottie. 

Post 1 - working with children who have an EHC in place.  This will involve supporting the child/ren throughout the day to access their learning and achieve their potential. This will require working on a 1 -1 basis, 1 - 2 basis and with small groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the class teacher to ensure the lesson content is accessible for the child/ren and providing feedback to the class teacher about the child's achievements.  Contributions to annual reviews will also be expected. 

Post 2 - general classroom TA2B role, supporting the teacher and the children to achieve excellent outcomes.

    This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent as appropriate to the post 
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English and maths
