Summary
Flakefleet Primary isn’t your average school — and our nursery is no exception. We’re the place where tiny feet take big steps, where play is purposeful, and where curiosity is nurtured from the very beginning. Our 2–3-year-old nursery is filled with laughter, glitter (yes, really), and magical moments that shape children for life — and we’re looking for someone special to be part of it.

You’ll be joining a warm, supportive team where every day is different, every child is valued, and where even the smallest achievements are celebrated like winning gold. We believe learning at this age should be joyful, hands-on, and full of wonder — and we want someone who shares that vision.

If you’re the kind of person who sings songs while tidying up, turns a puddle into a learning opportunity, and lights up when a toddler finally cracks how to put on their coat — we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join us from September, hours of work will be 8:30-15:30 Mon- Fri, term time only.  You may be experienced in early years settings or just starting out with a Level 2 and a whole lot of heart — either way, we’re here to support you.

You’ll be right in the thick of things: working closely with our nursery lead, supporting learning through play, helping develop communication and social skills, and building strong relationships with both children and their families.

In return, we’ll offer you:
  • A team that cheers each other on
  • A nursery where creativity is celebrated and kindness is key
  • Training and opportunities to grow your skills
  • A place where you’ll laugh daily, feel valued, and make a real difference in young lives
  • A 12-month contract to start, with the possibility of something longer-term

Our motto is #daretodream — and we believe that starts right here in the nursery. If you do too, we’d love to hear from you.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

Please note CVs are not accepted, to apply for this vacancy you need to complete the application form attached.
