Summary

Flakefleet Primary isn’t your average school — and our nursery is no exception. We’re looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join us from September, hours of work will be 8:30-15:30 Mon- Fri, term time only.  You may be experienced in early years settings or just starting out with a Level 2 and a whole lot of heart — either way, we’re here to support you.

You’ll be right in the thick of things: working closely with our nursery lead, supporting learning through play, helping develop communication and social skills, and building strong relationships with both children and their families.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

Essential Qualifications

Level 2 in Early Years or equivalent 

An understanding of child development and the EYFS framework

Desirable Qualifications

Paediatric First Aid

Safeguarding

Essential Experience

A love for little learners and a passion for Early Years education

A calm, caring presence and a playful spirit

A great team player with strong communication skills

A willingness to get stuck in – from messy play to nappy changes, outdoor adventures to snack time stories

A commitment to working closely with families to support each child’s development
