The Governors of Peel Park Primary School are seeking to appoint a TA2a to support pupils identified with SEND and SEMH to deliver personalised learning sessions and facilitate additional intervention with 1:1 pupils and focused groups. Who will work alongside the SENDCO and Senior Leadership Team and teachers to meet the school’s aims. The successful candidate must have experience of working with or caring for children with SEND of the relevant age and must demonstrate the desire to reduce barriers to learning, achieve results and have the skills and characteristics needed to continue to develop whole school improved progress. This position is a full-time / temporary position and will be reviewed annually. The pay scale for this post will be grade 4.
We are looking to appoint a SEND support assistant to work under the SENDCO’s guidance whilst working alongside the Inclusion Team to support pupils identified with SEND and SEMH. To liaise with teachers in a collaborative way to deliver personalised learning sessions and facilitate additional intervention with focused groups. The focus of the role is to support the personalised education and personal and social development of pupils with SEND and SEMH who find formal learning opportunities a challenge. You will be expected to establish positive relationships with pupils and assist them to complete structured learning activities and facilitate additional intervention with focused groups within the main classroom environment and in the enhanced provision. The role would be to ensure pupils access learning and to report progress to the SENDCO and teacher. You must be able to establish positive, supportive, and constructive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and the wider community. You must demonstrate that you can contribute to an effective nurturing environment and plan alternative activities to promote positive learning experiences and engagement.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
