Summary
Initially a Fixed term contract however due to the increasing profile of special educational needs in the school, this position will likely be required in the longer term.

The children, staff, and governors of Lordsgate Township CE Primary School would like to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant (Level 2b). The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of roles including supporting children with additional needs. The position offered is likely to involve work within our fantastic reception classroom.

The successful candidate will need to have proven experience of working in a primary school classroom and the ability to support pupils with the Social and Emotional aspects of learning. Essential Qualifications
NVQ level 2 (in relevant child care qualification)
GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics
Essential Experience
Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
Experience of working with children with special needs
Desirable Experience
Experience of or special trained in delivering support programmes to children with SEN including speech, language and communication issues
Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment including EYFS/KS1
Experience of supporting children with their social and emotional needs
