With the upcoming retirement of our current Business Manager, who has worked with us for nineteen years, the Headteacher and Governors of Whalley Primary School are looking to find a replacement who will make a similarly positive contribution to the life of our school. All candidates must be organised, flexible, forward-thinking and innovative, but above all must help to maintain the strong welcoming and team ethos which is present in the school.
Whalley CE Primary School is located at the heart of the village and the school has strong links with the church, with parents and the community. The school has experienced a significant increase in numbers over the past few years and there are now 310 pupils on roll. The successful candidate will support the School Leadership Team, working closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Phase Leaders and Business Support Officer to oversee the finances, help develop key policies and with matters relating to staffing.
This role is being offered at Grade 8 (Business manager 1) and the role is for term time only (pro-rata) and for 37 hours per week.
This is a full-time position starting in September 25, on a permanent contract.
The ideal candidate will have had prior experience of working in a School environment and can demonstrate how their experience and skills can transfer to our school. The successful candidate requires relevant experience in financial management, health and safety procedures, human resources, safeguarding, buildings and administration. Candidates must have experience of managing budgets and finance and the successful candidate will be required to produce reports for and to attend Governors Resources meetings.

- Essential Qualifications

- 5 GCSE’s grade A*- C (inc English & Maths) or equivalent
- Qualification in School Business Management (CSBM) or equivalent (or willingness to undertake)

- Essential Experience

- Experience of working in a school environment in an admin/finance role
- Demonstrable experience in finance and personnel management
- Experience of financial management. Ability to plan, monitor and manage any delegated budget; high skills of numeracy and accuracy.
