Summary
Vacancy - Teaching Assistant Level 2A  Grade4 Required ASAP - fixed term until 31/03/2026 (possibility to become permanent) The Governors of St James’ Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a warm, energetic, enthusiastic, hardworking, professional and highly motivated Teaching Assistant. The post is a fixed term contract of 15 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Use their initiative
  • Be proactive, positive and a team player
  • Plan and deliver specific intervention programmes.
  • Planning and cover whole classes for two afternoons per week
  • Have some experience of working in KS1 and KS2 classes supporting the teacher.
  • Be competent with records keeping/observations and assessments<
  • Excellent communication skills.

    The post holder would be expected to be a cheerful, positive role model to the students and adhere to school policies and procedures.
