The Governors at Mellor St Mary CE Primary School are looking to appoint a friendly, hardworking and skilled individual to join their school family and take up the position of Site Supervisor. The successful candidate will be committed to following all our safeguarding procedures and be able to maintain a safe learning and working environment with due regard for health and safety requirements.
The role requires opening and closing the school at the beginning and end of the day and being on site for several hours Monday to Friday in order to complete all the necessary safety checks; maintain the records and respond to simple maintenance tasks. They will work with Health and Safety Leads in school to complete statutory duties including daily and weekly checks, linked to the safe running of the school. This position is part time at 30 hours per week, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.
The job is on a pro-rata basis, but is all year round, including school holidays. The successful applicant will have 22 days holiday per years, which will increase after 5 years service.

- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Caretaking (or equivalent)
- GCSE Grade C or above equivalent in English and Maths
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Caretaking (or equivalent)

- Experience of caretaking in another school or premise.
- Experience of cleaning in another school or premise.
- Experience of carrying out compliance checks and keeping records up to date.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures in a school or place of work.
