Moorbrook is a SEMH specialist school for secondary age pupils, many of whom are neurodiverse and/or have had adverse childhood experiences.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking experienced TA3’s to join a strong team of TAs who support pupils in class and teach small groups. You will be part of a strong team who are passionate about securing the best education for our young people. One post may be in our Year 7 class. Other posts will be more flexible throughout school.
A desire to work with young people with challenging behaviours alongside a genuine passion to make difference is essential. For the right candidates this will be a very rewarding role.
As a teaching assistant, you can make a huge difference to a pupil’s journey through school and life beyond. The right experience is desirable but the right personality and attitude is essential.

The TA3 role is 36hrs per week, over 5 days, term time only. This is a permanent role.
This position is part time, term time only; please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

- Essential Qualifications

Basic computer skills

- Experience in a setting that supports pupils with SEND essential.
- Knowledge and experience of neurodiversity and behaviours that challenge essential.
- The ability to use your own initiative whilst working within school policies is essential.
- A strong desire to be part of a supportive team of professionals is essential

- A proven track record of successfully working with young people with challenging behaviour.
- You must have a strong passion for making a difference to young people lives who face additional challenges in their lives.
- TEAMTEACH qualifications would be an advantage, willingness to train is essential.
- All staff at Moorbrook act as a key worker for pupils, basic computer skills are essential and knowledge of SIMs or CPOMS an advantage.
