Summary
Shaftesbury High School is a highly successful Pupil Referral Unit with a capacity for 125 pupils. We were deemed 'Good' by Ofsted in October 2019. The school is divided into ASPIRE and OASIS. ASPIRE caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils who have been permanently excluded from schools in Chorley and South Ribble areas or are on interventions to address behavioural issues. OASIS caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils who have been medically referred for an intervention place from their mainstream school.

Our vision and aspiration for all pupils is equal in that we aim to equip them with the skills, knowledge and resilience to make the most of their next steps, whether that be a mainstream setting or college, apprenticeship or training.

The staff team are fully committed to ensuring that every pupil is given every opportunity to succeed within a safe and inspiring environment. We require a Behaviour Mentor for KS3 and KS4 pupils. We welcome applications from experienced personnel who have a passion for and a proven track record of successfully working with pupils with behavioural issues and have experience of working with pupils to the National Curriculum standards.
