Summary
The Governing Body at Rockwood Nursery School (‘Outstanding’ School - October 2014/2018/2024) are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified Early Years Practitioner/Educator (TA2a) to work with children aged 2-4 years.

Our nursery school will provide an effective team of colleagues to support and further develop the successful candidate both personally and professionally. This post will involve working as part of our Rockwood Nursery team and in our Forest School.

Duties, under the supervision of the teaching staff, will involve implementing learning activities for individuals and groups, monitoring pupil progress and establishing strong, supportive and constructive relationships with children and their parents (see job description and person specification for further details.

You must:

  • Hold a suitable early years’ practitioner qualification/NNEB or equivalent.

  • Be an excellent early years’ practitioner and role model

  • Be approachable on both a personal and professional level

  • Be able to listen to other's point of view

  • Be open, honest and a good sense of humour

  • Be able to inspire, support, motivate and challenge others

  • Have the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Be able to liaise with team members and has good communication skills.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths and English, grade C and above or equivalent

  • At least 3 years’ experience of working with children within the EYFS (with at least 2 years post qualification).

  • Supporting children with a range of SEND disabilities
