The Loyne Specialist School is a highly successful special school with 114 pupils on roll aged 2-19 with broad range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). A number of pupils have additional physical and sensory impairments. We are very proud of our school which has been rated by Ofsted as Outstanding for five consecutive inspections. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and well-established supportive staff team.
The successful applicant must be prepared to work flexibly and efficiently to meet the demands of the role which will include:
- In liaison with the Subject Leader to plan, assess and report on lessons delivered to groups of pupils as directed
- To provide PPA cover across school should this be required on an ad hoc basis
- Reporting on progress to parents/carers at the end of the year
- Ensuring positive behaviour support is followed accurately in lessons and liaise with the class Teacher to ensure whole class and individual support is reviewed and evaluated on a regular basis, as directed.
- To contribute to the completion of B Squared and other school assessments for all pupils taught and liaise with relevant school staff as necessary
