An exciting opportunity has emerged at Longton Primary School for a temporary Teaching Assistant position. We are in search of an enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for working with children, committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve their best in academics, social skills, and independence.

In this role, you will support children’s learning under the guidance of the class teacher, work with individuals and small groups outside the classroom, and be part of a committed team dedicated to providing high-quality education at Longton. The position requires promoting positive relationships, maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour, employing creative teaching approaches, and demonstrating strong knowledge of the primary curriculum alongside good literacy and numeracy skills. You should also have experience with a variety of Special Educational Needs and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively. This part-time, term-time only position offers up to a maximum of 32 hours per week. Whilst this is a temporary role, all new employees will undergo a probationary period.
