As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and helping to ensure the academic success of our pupils

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons, ensuring they are engaging and tailored to meet the needs of individual pupils.
  • Providing targeted support to pupils, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis, to enhance their progress and attainment.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.

  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to effectively meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
  • Contributing to the school\'s extra-curricular activities and wider school community.

    To excel in this role, you will need:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting the academic and social development of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the ever-changing needs of our school community.
  • A commitment to upholding our school\'s values and ethos.
