Our school is a vibrant, forward-thinking place to work, and we are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and hardworking Level 2B Learning Support Assistants to work in Key Stage 2.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • are dynamic, creative, and knowledgeable practitioners.
  • have high expectations for pupil learning and attainment
  • are able to work independently, as part of a team, and show initiative.
  • are able to assist in the monitoring and recording of learners progress and developmental needs.
  • are able to support the promotion of positive relationships with learners, parents, carers, and outside agencies.
  • are able to support and enhance the vision of the school.


    The successful candidates will be expected to work with groups of learners under the guidance of the teacher, including learners with SEND, and to provide routine classroom and administration support. The hours of work are 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to cover a 30-minute welfare duty each lunchtime, which will be paid on a separate welfare contract for 2.5 hours per week.

    This position is part-time only; please note that the salary quoted is full-time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

  • Desirable Qualifications

    NVQ level 2 or above qualification –appropriate to the post (or equivalent)

    Level 2 or equivalent qualification in

    English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy

    Essential Experience

    Experience of working with or caring for children between the ages of 7 to 11

    Desirable Experience

    Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment

    Experience of Administrative work

    Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
