Summary
We are looking to recruit two permanent TA3 to work at Reedley School.

One vacancy is in Reception and the other will either be in KS1 or in KS2, depending on candidates’ experience.

Candidates should express as part of their application, their preference regarding which Key Stage they would like to be considered for.

    The role includes: 

  • Planning and delivering a wide range of activities
  • Supporting groups of children within lessons
  • Teaching phonics to small groups of children
  • Delivering a range of support programmes to children, for which training will be provided, as necessary
  • Liaising closely with the class teacher and parents/carers
  • Contributing towards a nurturing environment and providing support for children in their emotional and social development
  • Providing first aid cover for pupils
  • Monitoring medical needs and administering medicine, as appropriate
  • Delivering a club each week to pupils
  • Attending whole-school staff meetings and regular phase meetings

    All of our support staff have an additional contract as a welfare member of staff for 2.5 hours per week, as they also support the children over their lunchtime, supervising them in the dinner hall and as they play out, which provides consistency for the children in our care.

    English and Maths GCSE Grade C or above

    A minimum of two years experience as a TA3

    Experience working within the relevant Key Stage within the last two years

    For positions in Reception and KS1, candidates must have recent successful experience teaching phonics
