Summary
Sir Tom Finney Community High school is a successful Generic Secondary Special School (11-19) in Preston judged as good by Ofsted (March 2023). We are seeking to appoint a new School Business Manager from September 2024 who is an inspirational, talented, and highly motivated individual to take full responsibility for School Business Management leading our current provision and working collaboratively on the future vision, aspirations and priorities for our school to suceed our current postholder who has had approval for flexible retirement, further information of which can be found in the Headteacher's Welcome Letter in the vacancy details.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate how they can evidence meeting the requirements of the role and person specification attached to the vacancy details.  

This includes:
  • Being self-motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about the role.
  • Extensive experience of managing budgets, financial planning and financial reporting, administrative, HR, premises, H&S and data protection within schools or educational environment.
  • Be competent in the use of ICT, School Information Management Systems (SIMS, FMS), oracle fusion; have experience of using Microsoft Office applications and other software packages. 
  • Be forward thinking, creative, receptive to change and able to lead and manage a variety of staff teams including Admin, Business Support, Site and IT. 
  • Have good organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines. 
  • The ability to communicate confidently and professionally with young people, families, staff, and outside agencies.
