We are recruiting for a SENDCo and Assistant Headteacher to join a forward-thinking primary school in Accrington. This is a non-classroom-based leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the school while focusing on SEND provision and whole-school development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school.
  • Work closely with SLT to drive inclusive practices and pupil progress.
  • Support staff with strategies and interventions for pupils with additional needs.
  • Contribute to whole-school leadership as part of the senior team.
  • Liaise with external agencies, parents, and carers to ensure high-quality support.


     Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience working with SEND pupils.
  • Strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach.
  • A desire to step into a strategic role outside of the classroom.
  • NASENCo qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
