We are currently working with a wonderful primary school based in the heart of the city of Preston.
The school are looking to appoint a lower key stage 2 teacher to join them in January 2026. The role will be for 2 full terms through to the summer break 2026 and will be on a full-time basis. Whilst the role is due to start in January the school would ideally like a handover with the current teacher in late December, but this is not a must for the right candidate.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards and the needs of Year 3 students.
- Assess and record students' progress, preparing them for end-of-year expectations.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the educational environment and uphold the school's values.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Must hold QTS
- Proven experience as a KS2 Teacher.
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and the specific requirements for Year 3
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
