The governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, passionate, inspirational, and enthusiastic teacher to cover a maternity leave. We pride ourselves on nurturing our pupils and providing a one-size-fits-one approach to learning that enables our young people to reach their full potential. We provide a safe, happy and regulated learning community, where together we empower pupils to develop key skills for life.

We are looking for someone who:

Is an excellent classroom practitioner; who will lead by example, modelling outstanding teaching and learning for children with a wide range of complex learning difficulties?

Has a good understanding of autism and total communication approach

Has a good understanding of a personalised curriculum

Has a good understanding of child development

Has a commitment to the safeguarding of all children

Has high expectations

Has a good understanding of emotional regulation and sensory needs

Has the ability to work effectively with children, parents and governors, as well as members of the wider community. You will also be able to lead a small classroom team.

Has an excellent sense of humour, is positive, passionate and forward thinking.
