Thank you for your interest in the position of Teacher of Design & Technology (Materials) at The Hollins. We’re looking for a teacher who is committed to working with our extraordinary pupils in this fascinating and popular subject.
In the recent past we have delivered Engineering and would be interested in providing this course for pupils at KS4 again. Therefore, we’d welcome applications from people who would be interested in delivering this course including teachers who have previously delivered any DT subject, art & design or other relevant practical-based subjects.

• Qualified teacher status
• Good honours degree or equivalent - Desirable Qualifications

• Evidence of further subject-based professional development
• Departmental development planning
• Departmental self-evaluation - Essential Experience

• A track record of successful teaching with evidence of enhancing pupil achievement
• Good ICT skills
• An ability to be part of a team - Desirable Experience

• An understanding of current educational initiatives, including national priorities and legislation.
• Willingness to teach another subject (if required).
• Evidence of improved pupil outcomes.
