The school is located in extensive grounds and is situated close to Burnley Town Centre.  The school is easily accessed from across the region by bus, train and car and is located just a five-minute drive from the M65, Junction 10.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of KS3/4 Design and Technology/ Art to join a well-established, supportive and innovative team which delivers at Key Stage 3 and 4 on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to teach across both Key Stages and they will be able to demonstrate that they have broad knowledge of the different specialisms of Graphics, Hospitality and Catering, Product Design, Textiles and Art. We value industry experience and welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers.

  • Someone who can engage and enthuse our learners through a commitment to outstanding teaching and learning across Design and Technology/ Art. An ability to teach in the specialism area of Hospitality and Catering at both KS3 and KS4 would be preferable but not essential; this is due to the increasing popularity of the subject at KS4.

  • Someone is innovative in their techniques to motivate and inspire young people;
  • Someone who can build positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike.
  • Both ECTs and experienced Teachers are encouraged to apply.  We offer an excellent ECT Induction programme as well as exceptional professional development opportunities.

    What we can offer you: -

  • Committed pupils who are positive and keen to learn.
  • The opportunity to be part of a friendly and supportive team.
  • Excellent and innovative facilities across the school.
  • A comprehensive professional development programme and many opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular activities and whole school initiatives
