Upper KS2 Teacher

- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (initially until Christmas, with potential to continue)
We are seeking an experienced Upper KS2 Teacher to join a vibrant school community in Accrington. This role is set to start on the 10th of November and is initially contracted until Christmas, with the possibility of extension. This position has arisen due to the resignation of the current post holder. Please note, this role is not suitable for newly qualified teachers.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards and the needs of pupils in Upper KS2.
- Assess and record pupils' progress, preparing them for transition to the next stage of their education.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a constructive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and academic success.
- Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school’s community spirit.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Upper KS2 Teacher.
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and teaching methods.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- This role is not suitable for newly qualified teachers.
