Woodlea Junior School is an above average-sized school with 226 children on roll. Our children are taught in 8 classes; two per year group, which are mixed ability.

Children at Woodlea benefit from being part of a school family where they feel secure, valued and cared for. Our children enjoy studying a wide, varied and rich curriculum and we aim to provide them with opportunities to support the community they live in and people they live amongst. Essential Qualifications
• QTS / postgraduate
• Degree
• Experience of teaching in KS2
Desirable Qualifications
• Experience of working with and engaging parents and the wider community
Essential Experience
• Evidence of impact in a KS2 class
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
• Effective teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all pupils including pupils with Special Educational Needs and A,G & T pupils
• Ability to provide effective marking and feedback to help learners progress
• Effectively uses ‘Assessment for Learning’ strategies
Desirable Experience
• Evidence of impact in developing a curriculum area or whole school change
