The Governors of Queen's Drive Primary School are seeking to appoint a part-time (3 days a week - 0.6), non teaching SENCo and Inclusion Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to join our hard working and innovative team. The successful candidate will be an inspirational and ambitious professional who will have responsibility for the leadership of SEND provision at Queen's Drive. This post comes with no class teaching although it may be necessary to work with small groups of children on particular targets and interventions.
Queen's Drive Primary School is a large two form entry school based in urban Fulwood, north Preston. We currently have 437 children on roll. Our location is easily accessible via the M55 and M6, making us a desirable school.
The successful candidate will have the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities:-

- Effectively manage support staff in the classroom
- Outstanding classroom management and organisation
- Outstanding behaviour managemen
- A clear understanding of how assessment for learning practices support teaching and learning
- Use a range of strategies to provide feedback to pupils
- Closely assess, track, record and report pupils' progress
- Demonstrate an understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
