We are seeking a dedicated Y1/2 Teacher to join a charming rural school in the Ormskirk area. This full-time, temporary position is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator looking to make a significant impact in the lives of young learners. The role starts after Easter 2025 and continues until the summer holidays.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons that cater to the needs of both Year 1 and Year 2 students.
- Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for the next stages of their educational journey.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes positive learning and development.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff and contribute to the school community with enthusiasm and creativity
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure all students are included and engaged.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with specific experience in Years 1 and 2.
- Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods suitable for this age group.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
