Reed/LTA are seeking an experienced Reception Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in the Preston area full time. This role involves taking full responsibility for a reception class and you will need to have good behaviour management strategies and some working knowledge of SEN and inclusion.
The position starts on asap and will be up until the summer term.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons appropriate for reception-aged children.
- Assess and record children’s progress and prepare them for the next stages of their educational journey.
- Create a vibrant, organised, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and any concerns.
- Participate in school meetings and events.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance teaching practices and experiences for students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have completed their Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction.
- Proven experience as a Reception Teacher or in a similar teaching role.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Passion for working with young children and commitment to education.
