Essential Qualifications

PGCE/QTS

Good academic achievement including a relevant honours degree

Desirable Qualifications

A postgraduate qualification eg a master's degree

A first aid certificate

Essential Experience

Experience of teaching relevant subject at Key Stages 3 and 4 (includes trainee placements)

Experience of conducting assessments, keeping records and producing reports on pupils

Experience of implementing safeguarding procedures in schools

Desirable Experience

A successful track record with GCSE classes

Experience of working in a Catholic secondary school, organising and participating in extracurricular activities (trainee placements appropriate)

Experience of planning, organising and taking part in trips/visits that link to the Humanities curriculum at Key Stages 3 and 4
