Information
Ightenhill is an effective, inclusive large primary school with a fantastic team of staff who are committed to enabling our diverse school community 'to be the best that they can be'.

With increasing pupil numbers, from September 2025, we will have an additional class in Key Stage 1 and will revert to being a full two-form entry school. We are recruiting an additional class teacher to join our amazing teaching team, the position will be in either KS1 or KS2 depending on the experience of the successful candidate. This position is being advertised as a temporary one year contract but there is the possibility of this becoming permanent  if funding and pupil numbers are favourable.

We had a successful Ofsted inspection in May 2023 which highlighted the many strengths of our school setting. Our school ethos is based on a set of seven school values that underpin life at Ightenhill, our school values are evident in everything we do and are developed through a carefully planned, well-sequenced curriculum.

If you are an effective, ambitious teacher who would like to experience working in a vibrant and rewarding setting, then we would encourage you to visit us in person. A visit to the school can be arranged by contacting the school office on 01282 428246.

As we are a two form entry school, you will be working alongside the other Year group class teacher  and you will have joint PPA time alongside your year group partner.
