Alston Lane Catholic Primary School and Nursery is part of the Mater Ecclesiae Catholic MAT. We are a single form entry school with a record of high standards and high expectations. It is an excellent school for staff at all levels to develop professionally. We are a good school with outstanding religious provision.
Due to the current Year 5 teacher retiring at the end of the year, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to work in Year 5 from 1st September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The successful candidate will have high expectations in all areas of school life and a passion for ensuring the highest possible outcomes for pupils. They will work within our Key Stage 2 team and benefit from rich professional development and support, relevant to the role. They will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum with the development of skills, knowledge and prior learning central to their teaching. Experience of leading KS2 SATs preparation, would be a desirable attribute.
In our Catholic school, it is desirable for staff to have a strong personal faith, but essential for them to fully immerse themselves in the Catholic teaching of the school.
This position is not suitable for an early career teacher, as we require an experienced practitioner in this year group
