Assistant Headteacher Salary: L4 - L9

The Governors of Spring Hill Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated, passionate, and caring Assistant Headteacher from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is ready to move to the next stage of their career and further develop their professional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

As a class-based teacher, the successful applicant could be based in EYFS, Key Stage One or Key Stage Two.

To play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of our school curriculum, working closely with subject leaders to monitor teaching and learning.

To work with the Headteacher to develop and embed assessment practices to monitor the impact of the curriculum for all children.

To work with the Headteacher to ensure the effective use of the behaviour policy, working closely with all stakeholders in improving behaviour further.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Proven track record as a highly effective classroom practitioner

Equipped to support and develop the school's ethos

Committed to safeguarding the welfare and wellbeing of children, staff, and visitors

Excellent team player who will work closely with all team members
