The Headteacher and Governors at St John’s Stonefold CE Primary School are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for a hardworking and inspirational leader to join our school family and help shape the future of our school. We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher with classroom responsibilities, to work alongside our dedicated team and assist the Headteacher in the continued strategic development of the school.
St John’s Stonefold is a small, semi-rural church school in the beautiful area of Rising Bridge. We are well known for being an inclusive school with a real family feel to our approach to education and are passionate about maintaining this reputation. We work closely with parents, our church and local community, and the Blackburn Diocese to provide the best possible opportunities for our children. Christian values underpin all our work, and the needs of the children are at the centre of all we do.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:
  • Will actively support the vision and ethos of the school
  • Will lead by example, supporting the school’s Christian vision
  • Is an exemplary classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and set high standards and expectations in all aspects of school and community life while making learning fun and creative for all
  • Will be highly organised and be an effective communicator
  • Has excellent organisational skills to enable effective contribution to the strategic development of the school
  • Demonstrates drive, experience and creativity to build on our current high standards of education
  • Will have high expectations and aspirations of our staff and children
  • Has experience of leading SEND or a commitment to do so
  • Can take a leading role in further developing our curriculum
