Due to the retirement of the current class teacher, the Governing Body of Altham St. James’ C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations, to take up a permanent teaching position in our mixed Year 5/ 6 class.
Altham St. James’ Church of England Primary School is a very popular, village school. We see ourselves as a family and are a united team. From September 2025, there will be 84 pupils on roll, taught across four classes. We have recently increased our pupil admission number to 15, so as a school we are continuing to grow. All mixed classes have a maximum of 30 pupils, with experienced full-time Teaching Assistant support.
We are proud to be part of a warm, caring, welcoming Christian school, where the children are at the heart of everything we do. We had an extremely successful Ofsted Inspection in November 2021 and SIAMS Inspection in October 2024. Our school is continuing to go from strength to strength and we would welcome applicants who feel they can passionately contribute to the determination and drive of our existing staff.
