Information

Alston Lane Catholic Primary School and Nursery is a single form entry school with a record of high standards and high expectations. It is an excellent school for staff at all levels to develop professionally. We are a good school with a high standard of religious provision.

Due to the current teacher beginning maternity leave, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to work in Year 2 from 3rd February 2025. This is a full-time, temporary position until 18th July 2025.

The successful candidate will have high expectations in all areas of school life and a passion for ensuring the highest possible outcomes for pupils. They will work within our Key Stage 1 team and benefit from rich professional development and support, relevant to the role. They will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum with the development of skills, knowledge and prior learning central to their teaching.

In our Catholic school, it is desirable for staff to have a strong personal faith, but essential for them to fully immerse themselves in the Catholic teaching of the school.

This position is not suitable for an early career teacher, as we do not have the capacity to support someone at this stage in teaching.
