  • Job Type: Temporary (January 2025 - Easter/Summer 2025)

    We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a small, supportive school in rural Ormskirk. This role is set to start in January 2025 and will run through to at least Easter, with a high possibility of extending until the summer. The successful candidate will lead a unique mixed-age class of Y3/4/5/6 with just 6 pupils, two of whom have EHCPs and are supported accordingly.

    Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of a mixed-age, small class setting.
  • Manage a classroom environment that focuses on nurturing and educational excellence.
  • Regularly assess and record the progress of each pupil, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure pupils with EHCPs receive the appropriate support and resources.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their children’s academic and social development.
  • Participate in school activities and contribute to the school community.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a primary setting, with a strong understanding of the curriculum across multiple year groups.
  • Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively, particularly small or mixed-age groups.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and a passion for teaching.
