Information
At Elm Tree Community Primary School we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class Teacher to join our team. As a Special SEMH school, we cater to children with a range of diagnosis, needs and abilities. All our children have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), and we require a teacher who can effectively plan adaptively and implement creative strategies for teaching our children, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and make progress both academically and personally. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and uphold professional attitudes with pupil, staff, parents, and carers, being proactive in their communication and responsive to any concerns.

They should also be proficient in collaborating with a variety of professionals, such as therapists and support staff, to ensure each child receives the necessary care and support.  Flexibility is key in this role, as there may be the opportunity to move within the school to teach different year groups, ranging from Early Years Foundation Stage to Upper KS2. The successful candidate will be expected to manage a team of Teaching Assistants efficiently and effectively. For more experienced teachers, there is also the possibility of leading a subject area within the school.
