The Loyne Specialist School is a highly successful special school rated by Ofsted as Outstanding for five consecutive inspections. We wish to continue to build on our success and are now seeking to recruit 2 dedicated and enthusiastic full-time teachers to join our welcoming and supportive staff  team.  The posts offered are 1 permanent and 1 temporary post to cover maternity leave until July 2025. 

The school has an exceptionally thorough approach to treating every learner as an individual and we are seeking teachers who can demonstrate a commitment to developing our leaners’ skills and knowledge further through our holistic curriculum.

Applicants must have a good understanding of effective teaching methods especially those relating to communication. These positions may be based anywhere across our age phases from Early Years to our FE Department, (this can be discussed further at interview) and will require the successful candidates to have knowledge of child development. 

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate effective skills in working with and managing a team of teaching assistants to ensure structure, continuity, positive behaviour support and effective care within their class. You must also be able to demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and working in partnership with all stakeholders and must be able demonstrate experience of working with individuals with SEND.
