Computing/IT (0.81 FTE)
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Computer Science/IT, to join our supportive and talented team, covering maternity leave, at Our Lady’s Catholic College.
The Computing department offers both GCSE Computing and Vocational ICT and is seeking a colleague who is passionate about technology and able to inspire all students to reach their full potential in this important curriculum area. Experience of, or demonstrating the potential to teach, coding and programming to KS3 pupils is desirable.
- A record of successful teaching experience at secondary level.
- The ability to engage, enthuse and motivate students.
- Knowledge and understanding of the demands of the curriculum.
- Ability to teach KS3.
- Ability to support colleagues' and work in a collaborative fashion.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour positively.
- The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise work.
- Plan teaching to achieve progression over time for all students.
- Using a variety of teaching strategies and ensure high levels of engagement
- Setting appropriate, challenging and demanding expectations
- Use of assessment and feedback to improve pupil progress
