Ribchester St Wilfrid’s C of E Primary School is looking for an exceptional individual to take on the role of Head Teacher in this village school at the heart of the local community.
The school governors are committed to finding a dedicated and inspirational person to lead this small church school into the next phase of its development as a nurturing and stimulating place of learning.
The role will suit someone who is enthusiastic, innovative and visionary, who can build upon achievements to date and propel the school towards further successes. The appointed head teacher will practise and promote Christian values and integrate these into their everyday approach.

(Note – our current headteacher has a classroom teaching commitment of 0.2 FTE each week to cover PPA)

  • Loyal to the Christian values of the school and to both upholding shared religious traditions and encouraging a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
  • Equipped with the appropriate expertise, skills, experience and resilience to take on a Head Teacher role.
  • Enthusiastic about building on the school’s existing curriculum to ensure it is broad and balanced but remains challenging, exciting and enjoyable for all pupils.
  • Committed to safeguarding the welfare and wellbeing of children, staff and visitors.
