We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic and inspirational teacher of science to join a successful and dynamic Curriculum Area. This post is suitable for an experienced Teacher or an ECT.

Good honours degree

Knowledge of strategies that help all students to access the curriculum and make expected progress within the subject area.
Good working knowledge of effective use of progress data.
Sound awareness of current educational thinking and curriculum development relating to the subject.
Good working knowledge of what makes an effective climate for learning.
A working knowledge of successful approaches to teaching and learning that motivate and engage students

Experience of successfully improving own practice and/or of working with others to improve an aspect of teaching and learning.
- Desirable Experience

Experience of intervention programmes that help key groups of students to accelerate their progress
Successful experience of working with students across the ability range and at different key stages
Successful work with students as a tutor, mentor and/or coach
