    Reed Education is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster. The role is to start immediately on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a robust knowledge of the Science curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment.

    Day to day of the role:

  • Delivering Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with the potential to teach KS5.
  • Preparing lesson plans, materials, and resources that align with curriculum standards.
  • Utilising effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress and providing feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement instructional strategies.
  • Participating in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for students.
  • Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
