We are seeking to appoint an energetic Deputy Headteacher to work closely with the Headteacher. The Deputy Headteacher will support and assist the Headteacher by providing dynamic leadership and management in support of the School’s vision and values in everyday work and practice. As a member of the leadership team, the Deputy Headteacher will play a significant role in realising the culture, vision, aims and objectives of the school.

The successful applicant will be able to show that they can lead by example by being an excellent primary practitioner and contribute positively to school life. The applicant will be ambitious and determined to improve the school further to provide an excellent education for all.

With drive and a positive outlook, the Deputy Headteacher will help children and staff achieve the best outcomes through strategically leading teaching excellence by developing teaching and learning to ensure high standards are further developed and maintained.

We are looking for an individual who:
  • Has high expectations of the children in both behaviour and learning and in terms of their achievement;
  • Has high expectations of themselves and a commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities whilst inspiring and supporting others;
  • Is an excellent teacher who has taught across the primary phases;
  • Can identify and drive school priorities demonstrating both passion and resilience;
  • Is able to effectively lead specific initiatives and co-ordinate development programmes to ensure the school promotes and achieves the highest standards of teaching and learning;
  • Is able to contribute to the professional development programme for the school including coaching, mentoring and modelling work in the school;
  • Will promote the school ethos in which the highest achievements are expected from all members of the school community.
