Information
Dear Applicant,

Thank you for showing an interest in the post of temporary Classteacher at Mount Pleasant Primary School. We are excited by the prospect of welcoming experienced or early career teachers into our school. The post will be a maternity cover position. We are looking to appoint a teacher to complement our staff, who have a drive and commitment to raise standards, as well as a love of teaching and desire to make a difference.

We wish to appoint an outstanding, or potentially outstanding teacher. At Mount Pleasant we invest in the professional development of all of our staff, providing opportunities to reflect on practice and always improve. We will welcome applications from both ECT's and more experienced teachers. We are not specifying a year group or a subject leader role with this advert. There is some flexibility within the staffing structure and we are keen to utilise our teachers strengths and expertise to the best effect, so please state your year group and subject leadership strengths and interests in your application. If you are appointed as an ECT, subject leader responsibility will be deferred.

If you would like any further details of the school, or the post advertised, please feel free to contact me. Although I would love to show all interested candidates around school, due to time constraints I feel that I will have to limit this to short-listed candidates only. Applications should be received by 12 noon on Tuesday 18th June 2024 and interview times will be confirmed if you are short listed. The interview will consist of a mini teach and a formal interview following this. Good luck with your application and I look forward to hearing from you.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

Rehabilitation The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
