The Role: As Second in Department for Religious Education, you'll play a crucial role in leading our Religious Education department alongside the Subject Leader. You'll contribute to the development of a dynamic and engaging curriculum that reflects Catholic teachings while inspiring students to explore their faith with curiosity and reverence.

The Department: We will start the new academic year in four brand new classrooms which have been built as part of the £3.3 million investment in our school.  As part of this development, we will inaugurate a new Chapel to allow all pupils and staff a space for prayer, reflection and collective worship.

  • The Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies

  • Essential Experience
  • Qualified teacher who has undertaken appropriate training and has the necessary knowledge to undertake the duties of the post.
  •  The ability to devise and teach appropriate courses throughout the school.
  •  A commitment to pastoral care as a positive support to learning

  • Desirable Experience
  • The ability to establish successful relationships at all levels and can work as a member of a team
  • Excellent classroom practitioner
  • The ability to develop strategies for supporting children’s individual needs in and beyond the classroom.
