We seek to recruit an exceptional candidate to play an active part in our dedicated RE department. Candidates should be committed to increasing academic standards through modern and innovative teaching and developing positive working relationships with both staff and pupils, all under-pinned by supporting and promoting our Catholic ethos.

We seek a committed and inspirational teacher of RE who has a flair for working with young people, to work within this core department in securing the best possible outcome for our pupils.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and willing to show a high degree of dedication. They should be creative, imaginative and possess a passion and an aptitude for the subject.  They must have high standards in their own work. Similarly, they must have high expectations of pupils’ work and behaviour.

Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher status
  • Degree in relevant subject

  • Higher Degree
  • The Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies

  • Essential Experience
  • Qualified teacher who has undertaken appropriate training and has the necessary knowledge to undertake the duties of the post.
  • The ability to devise and teach appropriate courses throughout the school.
  • The ability to develop strategies for supporting children’s individual needs in and beyond the classroom.

  • Desirable Experience
  • A commitment to pastoral care as a positive support to learning
  • The ability to establish successful relationships at all levels and can work as a member of a team

  • Excellent classroom practitioner
