We are seeking to appoint a reflective and inspirational teacher to join our successful school and be part of a team of dedicated, enthusiastic teachers.

We are looking to appoint a teacher in KS1 (Year 1) to build on our existing strengths and achievements, who have a commitment to Christian education and the Christian ethos of the school, and is a highly motivated, dynamic and caring individual.

Situated in a pleasant former mill town in the Rossendale valley, St. James’ C of E was described by OFSTED as a good school (January 2019). It was judged Excellent in its SIAMS inspection (as at July 2019). We recently had our ungraded inspection on 16th and 17th April 2024 – report pending.

  • Essential Qualifications

    Degree with QTS

    Desirable Qualifications

    RWInc Trained

    Essential Experience

    Teaching for at least 2 years in Key Stage 1

    Excellent knowledge of KS1 National Curriculum

    Completed ECT/NQT induction

    Successful experience of leading a subject area across school

    Desirable Experience

    RWInc and Phonics testing
