EYFS Teacher (Maternity Cover)

  • Contract Term: September 2024, continuing into 2025
  • Location: Rawtenstall

    Reed Education/ The Lancashire Teaching Agency are currently looking for an experienced EYFS Teacher to fill a maternity cover position starting in September 2024 and continuing into 2025. The successful candidate will join a fantastic faith school in Rawtenstall, where they will have the opportunity to contribute to a nurturing and dynamic early years environment.

    Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for EYFS pupils.
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Assess and monitor the development and progress of children, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
  • Work closely with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and supportive teaching team.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong background in EYFS.
  • Proven experience as an EYFS Teacher, with a deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest educational practices.
